If you answer yes to any of these questions, you should probably consider replacing the grass in your lawn with a species and variety suited to the conditions of your landscape.
Does your lawn regularly turn brown during summer?
Is your lawn the last one in the neighborhood to green up in the spring or the first to turn brown in fall?
Is the grass outpaced by weeds in the spring?
Do warm-season weeds such as crabgrass present a constant battle despite control measures?
Is most of the turf, coarse bladed and pale colored?
Is your lawn a series of patches of three or more different colored and textured grasses?
Do insects (other then grubs) leave large dying or dead patches in your lawn?
Does water puddle up throughout the lawn after a rain, causing the grass to turn yellow and lose vigor?
Does the grass wilt and take on a grayish cast if it's not watered regularly?
